02Scope
This policy covers visitors to this website, people who contact us, and representatives of businesses that engage us. It does not cover third-party websites we link to.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation or health information through this website. Do not send that information to us by email.
04How the contact form works
The contact form does not transmit data to our servers. Pressing Send opens your own email application with a pre-filled message addressed to us. Nothing is sent unless you send that email, and nothing you type is stored by this website.
05How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations
- Prepare proposals and written engagement documents
- Deliver the services you engage us for and communicate about them
- Invoice, collect payment and keep accounting, tax and business records
- Operate, maintain and secure this website
- Comply with law and protect our legal rights
We do not use personal information for automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not create profiles for targeted advertising.
06Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or session replay tools. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to protect the site from abuse. The visual effects on this site run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us.
Do Not Track: because we do not track visitors across websites, our practices are the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We provide this disclosure under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code sections 22575 to 22579).
Global Privacy Control: we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in any case.
07How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We disclose personal information only:
- To service providers that host this website, provide our email and store our records, under terms that restrict their use of the data to providing services to us
- To accountants, attorneys and other professional advisers bound by confidentiality
- When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety
- To a successor in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of the business, subject to this policy
- With your consent or at your direction
08Email, telephone and text communications
We send marketing email only to people who have asked to receive it. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our postal address and offers a working unsubscribe link, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. section 7701 et seq.). We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
We call or text only people who have given consent, consistent with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. section 227). You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is never a condition of any purchase.
09Retention
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for:
- Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement: deleted when no longer needed to respond to you, unless you ask us to keep you on file
- Client engagement and billing records: for the duration of the engagement and afterward for as long as tax, accounting and legal obligations require
- Website technical logs: held by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule
10Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including access restricted to people who need it and encrypted connections (HTTPS) to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by California law (Cal. Civ. Code section 1798.82).
11Your privacy rights
Subject to legal exceptions, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we have it and who we disclosed it to
- Give you a copy of that information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you marketing messages
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
12California residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code section 1798.100 et seq.), applies to us, California residents have the rights to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use sensitive personal information.
Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code section 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

We verify requests by matching the information you give us against the records we hold. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your signed permission. If we deny a request, we will explain why.
14Children
This website is intended for business owners. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (15 U.S.C. section 6501 et seq.).
